Not sure I follow this one. It seems either extremely niche (covering a situation in this dynasty alone where someone sends a message of “I set my Ploy to [an illegal, undefined action]”?) or redundant (covering a message to the Narrator of “hello I would like to [illegal undefined action]”, which seems no different to a player doing that same thing as a wiki update or blog post).

And if the Explorer says in the message, “hello I would like to [illegal action] as soon as it becomes legal”?

I’m trying to cover that aspect of whether the Narrator is under any obligation to honor such a “trigger” request or if they should just ignore it.

So I can send a private message requesting anything defined in the dynastic ruleset, and the Narrator should execute that? Good thing it’s not a “must” :)

The rule we’ve got is “any Explorer may [change their Ploy] by privately informing the Narrator”.

I don’t think that allows players to perform conditional actions, any more than it would to write “I change my Planned Action to Get Lamp as soon as it becomes legal” on a blog post or the wiki page.

The Ruleset and Gamestate can only be altered in manners specified by the Ruleset.

I will likely withdraw this in favor of the Proposal from Snisbo / MaidenOfAir, as soon as that one is in a satisfactory state.

Per my first comment, too niche. If a players are somehow able to declare “I do X if/when it becomes legal” to queue up game actions, that needs a wider clarification.
