In “Nosy Researchers” replace

Each entry names an AI, a location, and a name and type of action. If an AI performs a non-Discreet dynastic action or for any Action that they wish to have recorded, they must add a new entry to the log containing their name, the location they are focused on, and the name and type of the action they performed.

Each entry names an AI, a location, and a name and type of action, and the UTC time (to the nearest minute) the action was performed. If an AI performs a non-Discreet dynastic action or for any Action that they wish to have recorded, they must add a new entry to the log containing their name, the location they are focused on, and the name and type of the action they performed, and the time they performed it

For each existing entry in the behavior log, set the time it was performed to the time which the edit to the wiki which added it to the behavior log was made.

Timestamp suddenly matters, so seems like we really should have this information easily available afterall. Trying to check the wiki history to look at when the changes made is both a PITA and not technically accurate (as the wiki change isn’t actually part of performing the action. When you update the wiki, you’re merely updating the tracking document to reflect gamestate. so in theory, the time you performed the action could be different than the time of the edit)

for yeah, i didn’t see a need for them before but now i’d for sure appreciate timestamps

Not sure I see the need: isn’t it enough that the wiki sidebar has a most recent edit box at the end? If it’s more than 12 hours ago then a Sweep can be performed; if it’s less than 12 hours ago and plainly described as an action then it can’t. The current case (where the most recent edit was an undescribed formatting change) is a rare one.

That only works if the most recent change added a players earlier entry. I could go perform an action now, and it wouldn’t reset the timer and then everyone would have to figure out when the reset it.

Also Lemon can perform a bunch of different actions that also edit the wiki, obscuring when the next reset can occur

Ah, fair point, I’d forgotten it was only the earliest actions.

for CoV.

Note that the current UTC timestamp can be added easily in a wiki edit by just writing five tildes (”~~~~~”).

oooh that is good to know. we should probably do a mini proposal updating the rule to include that. Just tell everyone to use five tildes so we get consistent appearance
