Call for Judgment: Banana Heel

Reached quorum, 8-0. Josh

Uphold as legal the Fighting action taken by the player named Brendan on November 22nd, 2021, including its setting Josh to be Up.

Replace the text “If a Realtor has been Up for the last 24 consecutive hours” in the rule “Fighting” with:

If a Realtor has been Up for the last 36 consecutive hours

Replace the sentence “If are ever less than three Realtors who are Up and there is a Realtor who is not Up, a randomly selected Realtor who is not up becomes up” with the following:

If are ever less than three Realtors who are Up and there is a Realtor who is not Up, any Realtor may randomly select a Realtor who is not Up and make the selected Realtor Up.

I was Up for just about 25 hours and had already taken my Fighting action when I thought to check back on this part of the rules. I couldn’t tell when Silverwing had named me as Up from the Dice Roller timestamps, but TyGuy6 helpfully pointed out that the actual recorded end time of Silverwing’s action was in The Octagon edit history. I could have tried to just keep this under my hat, but I don’t want it to crop up as a nightmare broken-dependency chain later in the dynasty, so I offer this solution in good faith.

I think I’ll support this. It wasn’t technically legal, but it’s reasonable to assume nobody would have caught it if you hadn’t. (And pokes’ earlier timeout didn’t hurt our team, since we won the roll.)  for

So soft for cause this fixes things but I’m not sure it’s the right fix. I think we should probably make “de-up the up person” should be an action someone has to perform not something that auto happens, so no one goes “it says I’m up let’s take my move” when they aren’t up

@Clucky, You’re so smart. Yes, maybe it’d be better to have it say “If a Realtor has been Up for the last 36 consecutive hours, any Realtor may make them become Inactive and no longer Up.”

I still like 36, I think, because it means you’re fine to check in about once a day, but it isn’t so long that you can wait for every proposal to pass before taking a turn.
