In the rule titled Energy Cycles, replace

For every Worker, if their Energy is less than 2, set it to 2.

with

For every Worker, increase their Energy by 2.

Energy started out as a way to represent a “roll N dice per turn” mechanic, but has since become just another resource, and not even the primary source of Boxes with all the other box-producing machines, so I don’t think it makes sense for this one resource to be ephemeral.

I think some cap is probably a good call, to prevent someone from just firing off a ton of moves at once, but might not need to limit it to 2 maybe something like 5?

Makes sense, although, there’s nothing really stopping someone from firing off a bunch of Cog or Box-based moves, either. I think actions are already mostly constrained by the fact that each Machine can only run once. No matter how much Energy you stockpile, at most you can run 6 Spins/Presses, and then have nothing to use the boxes for anyway.

against I can appreciate that the three Greenhouse players here can’t do much with Energy and would prefer to be able to stockpile some for later, but the existing cap of 2 seems fine to me.

To underline that, after Cuddlebeam was critical of Josh affecting the status quo by proposing to cap Things in a later proposal: the first moves of the dynasty were people choosing which way to jump on “build Machines to exploit the transient 2 Energy flow” or “ignore the transient Energy flow and grow Sugar”.

This proposal is saying that the Energy should actually no longer be transient after all, and instead stockpileable - an advantage to Sugarcube players (who are currently missing out on the Energy gain and might find a use for it later), and little or no advantage to Energy players (who have prepped their machinery to use the Energy as it comes).
