@Bucky: do you think the Bookie is malicious or biased, or do you think there are mathematical errors?
I think it’s more likely than not that the Bookie has made errors of some sort, and I lack the necessary information to determine what kind of errors or how impactful they would be.
I guess it’s up to Josh whether he wants to reveal his spreadsheets or not. At the moment, 4 is enough in favor, with the Bookie voting FOR, to enact this after 3:45 UTC.
Actually it isn’t - I can’t reveal anything, per “If a piece of information is described as being tracked secretly or privately by the Bookie (including secretly random selections), then that information may only be revealed by the Bookie when the ruleset allows it”. This is a typical Bucky, I’m afraid - if he’d sincerely wanted to audit the numbers he would have had to have proposed something to allow for them to be so audited while the dynasty was ongoing.
It’s essentially the same objection that I made ahead of time on Closing the Box, but in hindsight rather than foresight.
You could post a CfJ to allow (or even require) that Josh release his spreadsheets.
Or rather just CfJ to remove all instances of the word “secret” in the dynastic rules.
Josh almost assuredly made some mistakes. (For example, I was at 165 Readies going into the final round of betting. I then made two bets at 99 readies each, and won 126 readies from one of them, putting me at 192 readies prior to liquidation. Liquidation gave me another 145 so I should have been at 337 readies not the reported 347 readies) but
a) each of us are able to validate our own ready math. I can confirm that from my math, the 337 total is correct. So unless you are suggesting that your total is wrong by a significant amount too… what reason do you have for why I wouldn’t have the most readies?
b) What is your path forward for the dynasty if you don’t think that I have won?
a) Josh might’ve made errors resolving events as well.
