In “Ballot Submissions”, replace “signifying which pieces of they believe best fits the theme.” with:-

signifying which pieces they wish to praise. The Collector encourages Brokers to take into account creativity, originality, artistic beauty and adherence to the theme when determining which pieces to praise.

“Best fits the theme” seems too strict: we should have the option to admire an imaginative approach, even if other more literal interpretations are objectively and technically a closer “fit” for the word on the card. And we’d be kidding ourselves if we thought we’d be able to put aside our suspicions about who submitted which piece, later in the game, and continue to vote for “best fit” entirely without bias.

I get where you’re coming from, but I’d like to see some requirement that reiterates the goal is to match the theme. Even if it can’t be strictly enforced, I think making it clear that the theme matters is a good call.

That’s still there: players are strictly required to only submit art “which they believe matches the current Round’s chosen Theme”, under the submission rule.

sure, but then once submitted and voting its like theme doesn’t matter

Maybe something like “Brokers are encouraged to take into account creativity, originality, artistic beauty and adherence to the theme when determining which pieces are they wish to praise”

It’s a competitive game, it’s going to get cut-throat. But if an ignorable encouragement clause would make you happier, there you go.
