Proposal: Catch-22

Procedurally Vetoed. - lilomar

Create a Rule with Clearance Level Infrared entitled “Hope” with the following text:

If a Citizen ever has Clearance Level Ultraviolet, that Citizen has achieved victory.

It’s a Catch-22 in that, should a Citizen ever reach Clearance Level Ultraviolet, this Rule would not apply to them.

imperial I’d prefer the proposed rule to actually function correctly, as it makes an obvious victory condition.

Actually, any UV citizen could just promote the rule to eir clearance. Although, enacting this rule, then putting impediments in the way of promoting rules would be fun.

against The pending Clearance rule already says that “Citizens of ULTRAVIOLET Clearance may change the Clearance Level of any rule of Clearance Violet or lower by making a Story Post stating their intention to do so.”

And I’m not sure it’s necessarily an interesting victory condition in itself.
