Call for Judgment: CfJ: Why can’t we all just get along?

failed by CfJ “http://blognomic.com/archive/compromise_mark_4_again” -Bucky
unfailed by coppro - the enactment was illegal

CfJ is illegal because it does not “describe the issue” per Rule 1.7. -Ornithopter

If this CfJ passes immediately fail all pending CfJs, Proposals and DoVs.

Add a new dynastic rule “Amnistar’s Victory” with the text “Amnistar has achieved Victory.”

New dynasty idea is based on Dinosaurs and the extinction of them from the meteor strike.  Will have an artificial limiter on it being the incoming meteor which if is lands starts a meta dynasty and then have the players competing for resources in the time between the game starting and the meteor landing.

for Since CfJ’s don’t automatically get a vote FOR.

This is also because I think with this many people we should just play a game rather than get into a slapfight.

I’m not sure by what leap of logic everyone thinks that they can pass a new CFJ even if they can’t stop an older one from succeeding against

Zuff, new CfJs can pass before an old CfJ, so if enough people would rather play a game rather than get into an internet pissing contest we can pass this and then actually have fun and not worry about the older CfJ.

What’s a meta-dynasty?

Amnistar: he/him

21-10-2011 03:43:34 UTC

Meta-dynasty is defined in the rules as a dynasty that does not have an emperor.  Basically created for situations where no winner is avaialable.

We removed that definition a while back, I think.

Meh, it’s not in the actual CfJ so it can be defined when the new dynasty starts and the rule is proposed.  Not enough to prevent this from passing.

wait, against as this doesn’t make DoVs postable

Amnistar: he/him

21-10-2011 03:47:23 UTC

True, I made this before I learned that DoV’s weren’t postable.

Someone explain to me why a DoV also being a Work of Art means that it is no longer a DoV?

A DoV is always a DoV, even though it is also a work of art. But being a work of Art, you can’t post your DoV legally.

On a side note, it seems a bit callous of Agora to invade when we were trying to sort out the Core Ruleset. But then maybe we should have got our act together first.

You can certainly win using this CfJ. The problem is you can’t declare your win.

Yea, this CfJ bypassed the need for a DoV. But it seems to have been sorted out.
