Add the following to the “Harmony” part of rule “Style” as follows:
If there are more than four Musicians in a row with Harmony Consonant, then the Harmony of the two end Musicians switches from Consonant to Dissonant. If there are more than four Musicians in a row with Harmony Dissonant, then the Harmony of the two end Musicians switches from Dissonant to Consonant.
This also raises an interesting question. When two or more rules for adjusting style values have their conditions met simultaneously, which one should be applied first?
They are all applied simultaneously. If all of them try to change the value in the same way, the value changes. If not, the value remains unchanged. It’s somewhere in the Harmony rule.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
