Timed out 3 votes to 4. Failed by Kevan.

Under the rule, “Command Roles”, change:

The valid Command Roles are Pilot, Doctor, Mediator, Diplomat, Stim Dealer and Engineer.

to

The valid Command Roles are Pilot, Doctor, Mediator, Diplomat, Stim Dealer, Engineer and Chief of Security.

and add a paragraph after “If the Diplomat’s Condition is due to Worsen then their condition instead does not Worsen. ” That says:

As a Daily Action, the Chief of Security may Confine any Crewmember other than themselves to the brig for 24 hours by posting a comment to this effect in the GNDT, and giving them the condition Confined. While Confined a Crewmember is considered to be Disabled. Any Crewmember may remove the Confined condition from the GNDT if it was given more than 24 hours prior.

In the rule Emotions, change:

Valid Conditions are Injured and Disabled

to:

Valid Conditions are Injured, Disabled, and Confined.

“Any Crewmember may remove the Confined condition from the GNDT if it was given more than 24 hours prior.” - would be a FOR vote if this were Cerebral.  But I don’t trust the crew to let each other out in a timely fashion.

Note: this is yet another way to cause a mission to fail without being part of it.  But it’s self-incriminating, so that’s not an auto-AGAINST.

Good point. I thought manipulating emotions/conditions was already considered to be cerebral. Added a fix.

against We may be getting to the stage where we have enough means to injure each other.

I saw this as a protection mechanism, not a way of injuring each other. That doesn’t necessarily make it any better, but it is important to remember that it can be used both ways.
