Append the following to the list of Suspicious Actions:
* Superencryption grants 2 Suspicion.
* Extrasensory Assassination grants 4 Suspicion.
Add the following as a subrule under “Reality Enforcers”, called “Encryption”:
As a Weekly Action called Superencryption, a Mindjacker may choose a number of Mindjackers up to their Potency and make a Story Post which lists each of their names followed by the text “have been connected to a node of the Post Singularity Consciousness, encrypting their data!”. For 10 hours following a Superencryption, each Mindjacker that was chosen in that Superencryption gains no Suspicion when they perform Suspicion Actions. If the Mindjacker who performed the Superencryption chose themself, they don’t gain Suspicion for performing the Superencryption.
Add the following as a subrule under “Tier 3: Psychic Dreamscape”, called “Weaponised Psyonics”:
As an Existential Action, a Mindjacker may attempt an Extrasensory Assassination by privately messaging the Ascendant with a Symbol Name and an instruction to assassinate the Avatar with that name. If an Avatar with that Symbol Name existed at the time that the private message was sent, the Ascendant shall, as soon as is practical after receiving the message, destroy the named Avatar, and generate a Portent of the form “(name) was found mysteriously dead in (tier).”, where (name) is the Symbol Name of the destroyed Avatar and (tier) is that Avatar’s Home Tier. If an Extrasensory Assassination is Potent, the Mindjacker may include in their message a number of Symbol Names up to their Potency, and the Ascendant must carry out the above procedure for each Symbol Name separately. The Ascendant should then check whether the Mindjacker forgot to appropriately adjust their Suspicion after sending the private message, and correct the mistake if they did.
a couple of actions that care about potency, which should make the playing field a little more interesting. i considered putting these in separate proposals, but they exist specifically to complement one another, so together they go!
Josh: he/they
Interesting! Have you considered having Suspicion costs scale by Potency of use?
