Proposal: Comex shall be banned

Self-killed. Failed by Kevan.

Adminned at 24 Mar 2009 14:18:38 UTC

Ban comex.

“Also, I would like to point out that Comex included in his list EVERY PLAYER ON BLOGNOMIC. He also did it in an incredebly annoying way, provoking a ban. I think that it is his way of saying that he is quitting, and I personally hold no objection to a ban.” -Wakukee

I think Wak is right, even if he did misspell “incredibly”.

against He didn’t do anything worthy of banning, really. His action was meaningless, and merely showed a lack of knowledge about the game. I would like to know why he did it, though.

Well, that’s another story. I suppose that unless he can explain his action, we could indeed ban him.

His DOV used Agora terminology.  Checking over at Agora for a reason.

Wait…I see what he did.

Not every name listed is from Blognomic.

For example, OscarMeyr is an Agoran.

I think in a while the scam is going to be resolved, and he can come over here and explain and apologise. Then again, if he’s not using blognomic for anything besides agora scams, we’re better off without him.

Comex’s behaviour has been rudely opaque and unapologetic, here, but I don’t think a “ban” (whatever that means) would help or stop anything.

against On the one hand, had he taken the time to unidle himself then he could have severely disrupted the game, which no-one wants. On the other hand, the ruleset contains no mechanism for banning, and even if it did, I don’t think it’s enforceable. I’d like to hope that a fix will be implemented from the Agora end, however.

against I always stand on the side of Chaotic behavior over restrictive rulings.

If he continues to be disruptive then a punitive measure shou;ld be taken.

Qwazukee:

The mechanism for banning is at the bottom of the glossary, fair play rule 6.3. It’s been done before; but I don’t think this deserves a ban. It was just stupid.

Qwazukee:

24-03-2009 14:43:07 UTC

Make that rule 3.6. Dyslexia win the for.

Well, when I tried to play I just kept idling by mistake because I forgot to check the homepage periodically and there’s no easy way for me to get new posts emailed to me or anything.  Very frustrating to come back and see you’ve been idled.  But I can’t explain the post at this point, though I will as soon as I can.  Who says there is only one layer of deception?

As a thinly-related point, BlogNomic should really have an RSS feed.

There’s a broken RSS feed at <a href=“http://blognomic.com/feed_rss1”> - I don’t know how useful it is. (It seems to be listing all the sticky posts, including very old ones, and the {{summary}} tag doesn’t seem to be being processed, for some reason. I tried replacing it with the EE default RSS, just now, but had the same problem.)
