Proposal: Contest of the gods

4-5 Timed out, failed by Excalabur.  I think.

Add a rule to the ruleset titled “General supernatural acts”:

A Deity may spend a point of Quintessence to destroy a Temple of eir choice by removing it simeultaneously from the relevant Wiki pages.

Add a rule to the ruleset titled “Specific supernatural acts”:

A Deity may Petition for a specific supernatural power for any Incarnation by spending a point of Quintessence and making a post to the front page with the title ‘‘Petition’‘. The body of the petition shall powers specified by rule text that the Deity thinks is appropriate for that Incarnation.

If both the Archon and the Other comment with a FOR vote within forty-eight hours of the posting of the Petition, then the body of the post is added as a subrule to “Specific supernatural acts”, with the header being the name of the Incarnation in question. These special subrules rules apply only to a Deity when e has that Incarnation.

The Archon may make a Petition without spending Quintessence.

Add a subrule to the rule “Godhead”:

The Godhead may make a Petition once per day without spending any Quintessence.

I don’t know if 1 point of quint should be enough to destroy a temple, but the rest I like.

Easy come, easy go?

Like most things, we can change the amount of points one has to spend to destroy temples (or create them, for that matter).

I have a better/different idea for ‘doing things’ mechanics.  This is almost exactly the same rule as Illuminati Dynasty, and I don’t think they’re neccessary.  I don’t have time tonight, though, to write out my proposal imperial

And the same for the Spaceship Dynasty—I’ve proposed all three versions of that rule. Must be a personal thing.

As a personal preference, I like a lively ruleset.

MM.  i am planning on posting a rule that would allow any incarnation to take /any/ action.  how’s that?

One quint is too little.

against We’ve done this before. Something where you could design your own powers according to a table of costs and effect prices (that have to total zero) might be more fun; I’ll have a go when the queue clears.

for for what it’s worth. I’m not against the illuminati-dynasty style power mechanics… I just had a different idea.
