Convoy: Triemond Superior, Act IV
Route:
- The Burning Sands
- Barrel Canyon (-1 Fuel)
- The Cactus Fields (-1 Fuel, dropping Debris)
- The Bunker (-1 Fuel)
- Serizawa’s Folly (-1 Fuel, dropping Debris)
And scene.
I now have eight floating Debris. I use three to take The Dust Heap, two to take Death Valley, and three to take The Solar Bank. I convert The Solar Bank’s Metal into Weaponry, and then laugh maniacally.
I have thirteen Zones. The clock starts now.

Looks solid from here, given that you’ve cut the only other active player off from making any Convoys or sending any Trade Bikes.

I’m evil. Fortunately, I have a plan for my Dynasty.
Hang on, that doesn’t solve the evil thing.

Shame this didn’t really capture much of the compulsory collaboration of Diplomacy, but I suppose it was going to be hard for that to work with really only two non-Emperor players putting any effort into getting ahead.
We’ve had too many dynasties coming down to two-players-plus-Emperor lately. Historically we’d usually have
at least fifteen players posting each month; last month we had only six. Maybe it’s worth stopping to think about why this is happening and what we can do to change it.
I suppose the idea of “a blog” with an RSS feed is quite outmoded now, and this might be a barrier to entry for some people. And there’s also the inertia that if the last dynasty was a quiet two-horse race, the players might not see it as a problem if the current one is.
Any thoughts on what’s wrong or what might help?

Actually, let’s have a new post about this, so that half-lurking players don’t miss it.
