Seems polite to have the escape hatch, I think, if someone’s reading all this and deciding whether to play or not; maybe being nervous about being locked into the game, or inconveniencing existing players if they quit after a week. The fact that nobody’s pulled the lever in living memory doesn’t mean it hasn’t ever helped.

Core scam: Posting the request itself is what immediately makes you a non-Individual.

You’re welcome for the title, Pokes… But I’m with Kevan on this. I feel uncomfortable with this one-way street, and having to make a proposal sends the message that the request is not a formality but could, in theory, be rejected. (Besides, the possibility will not even occur to everyone.)

I don’t know, really, it might be better just in the FAQ - and the process becoming “player makes a request through any medium they like, and someone else makes a CfJ to remove them”.

I’ve actually made a request to idle…twice.  Not sure what I was thinking there.
