What’s the reason for this? Would have thought it was better to keep this bottleneck - which moves players from “spend time designing your bot” to “spend time programming your bot based on who you’re matched with” - moving.

It’s just a lot of spam.

Also it increases the variability of bouts - instead of pairs of players getting matched, day, three times over the course of the day, when they make themselves ready, and thus likely staying in similar sub-pools of players based on timezones, you get to match six players up all at once and have a more randomised outcome.

But mostly it’s the spam.
