Consider the series of the player Brendan’s actions immediately preceding the player Brendan’s most recent Declaration of Victory, as performed within the last hour, to have been legally performed before that Declaration of Victory was posted. If that Declaration of Victory has failed, then consider it to have been enacted.
I realize this is a tall ask but I am asking it anyway.
I had made all the edits to the wiki page—spending my deed, creating the building, occupying it, and undertaking the atomic action—and double-checked everything to make sure it was correct… and then, upon hitting submit and seeing the page load, I made my DoV. I didn’t realize until after making said DoV that the wiki had rejected my edit in favor of someone else’s simultaneous move. The resulting conflict is obvious.
I realize BlogNomic is a game of technicalities. I also think the scam here is a decent one, and I don’t think the vagaries of web server response timing should be the reason that a series of otherwise legal moves falls apart. If the timing issue is the only thing sticking in your craw, and you think the scam is valid, here’s your opportunity to rectify it. Otherwise, we wait for hiatus to time out, and probably Josh just pulls the same thing in the right order this time.
Snisbo: she/they
Only concern is what happens if the DoV passes before this, but yes, I would vote in favor; server issues aren’t on you and the scam was fun.
