Proposal: Don’t Drag Everyone Else Down

Withdrawn. Failed by JonathanDark.

Replace the entire text of the rule “Timing Out” with the following text:

The Publisher may render a Storyteller Idle if any of the below criteria are true:
* If the Publisher has not received a Creative Writing from that Storyteller within the time span of the most recent 3 Judgings being posted
* If the Publisher has not received a Scoring Response from that Storyteller within the time span of the most recent 3 Publishings being performed

A different take on my earlier Proposal. If a Storyteller has established a pattern of not participating dynastically, there’s no reason everyone else should have to wait on them to drag out every round.

No, it will not be over after this round. Take a look at the blog post again regarding the Ending Drawing. In it, I mentioned that the Ending Fragment will be added to The Last Fragment, and not to The Story. This means that The Story will not yet end with the words “The End”. This is how the rules work for an Ending Drawing.

As far as whether or not this will actually affect anyone, currently no, but it’s meant to encourage people not to let this happen. The counter-argument is that it’s giving permission for people to skip submitting 2 Fragments in a row or 2 Scoring Responses in a row, but that’s the case already, so in my opinion it’s not making anything worse.

against as in theory, this could be used to keep players from joining the game
