Proposal: Don’t sphere the future

Fails 1-12. —Brendan

If the proposal titled “Through the Ages” does not pass, this proposal does nothing

Add a new dynastic rule called “Spheres”. Give it the following text

There exist five elemental Spheres, Earth, Fire, Wind, Water and Heart. These spheres are each given a section in an wikipage titled “Elemental Spheres”. Each section contains the following information:

1) The current master of the sphere. If there is no master of the sphere this is set to the current Optimus Divinity.
2) The amount of power, a non-negative integer represented as a roman numeral, each divinity has in the sphere. If a divinity has no power in the sphere he does not have to be listed.
3) A historical list of the previous grand masters of the sphere.

The total power a given divinity has in all five spheres is known as their Expended Prominence. If a divinity’s Expended Prominence is greater than their Prominence, any divinity may decrease
their power in any sphere by one, provided it remains non-negative. (This may be done repeatedly until the divinity’s Expended Prominence is less than or equal to their Prominence). If
a divinity’s Expended Prominence is less than their Prominence, that divinity may increase their power in any sphere by one.  (This may also be done repeatedly until the divinity’s
Expended Prominence is equal to their Prominence).

If a divinity’s power in a sphere is greater than all other divinity’s power within that sphere, they become the master of that sphere and the wikipage is to be updated accordingly.

In the rule “Ages” replace

Whenever the Imperatrix advances the Age, all values tracked in the GNDT are reset to the values defined by the rules for new starters. The Divinity who had the highest value for Prominence at the end of an Age is considered to be the Optimus Divinity for the next Age.

with

Whenever the Imperatrix advances the Age, all values tracked in the GNDT are reset to the values defined by the rules for new starters. The name of the current master of each sphere is added as well as the name of the age that just ended (in the form AGE NAME: DEITY NAME) is added to the end of the section of historical list of the previous grand masters of the sphere for that sphere, and the power levels of divinity’s in each sphere are all set back to zero. (The current master remains the same).
The Divinity who had the highest value for Prominence at the end of an Age is considered to be the Optimus Divinity for the next Age.

against A lot of mechanics to no apparent end except establishing the Optimus…  and seems kind of redundant with “Deus Domesticus,” which, well, I prefer.

imperial per Brendan, although, I like the Cpt. Planet reference. ^^

The idea was a) to add some strategy to the Prominence game, and b) make it so ages don’t *completely* reset everything.

Per Brendan.
I do like the idea of having to balance out the Prominence though…
