Hello Edometheus. If you want to join the game, you just need to post a blog entry announcing your arrival, so that we can add you as a player. The votes you’re casting at the moment are illegal, as you aren’t yet an official player.
And while I’m here; all the user links in comments are pointing to my profile, for some reason. I don’t think this was the case a couple of days ago - has someone been careless with a template?
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.

Nope. Been like that for at least as long as I have been here. I’d fix it if I knew what the right variables were. I think it might be an issue with member_id being assigned both the ID of the member making the comment and the ID of the member logged in.
