Proposal: Elder FUÞARK

Times out and fails, 3-5. -Bucky

Amend Rule 2.2 Runes so that it reads:

There exist objects called Runes, each represented by a single letter that is the Rune’s Value. A sequence of Runes has a Value that is the sequence of letters corresponding to the Values of its component Runes. A Rune or sequence of Rune may be referred to by its Value.

A Rune Chain is a sequence of consecutive Runes.

Runes are subdivided into Consonants, Vowels and non-Vowel non-Consonant Damaged Runes: The legal Values for Consonants are ‘P’, ‘R’, ‘S’, ‘T’, ‘F’, ‘Þ’, and ‘K’. The legal Values for Vowels are ‘A’, ‘O’ and ‘U’. The only legal Value for Damaged Runes is ‘X’.

“No Rune can have a value other than ‘P’, ‘R’, ‘S’, ‘T’, ‘A’, ‘O’, ‘X’, ‘U’, ‘F’, ‘Þ’, or ‘K’.”

Add the following to the end of Rule 2.4 Unstable Runes:

The Consonant ‘F’ is considered Unstable. If any Apprentice has the consecutive subsequence “STAR” in his Workbench, as a daily action (and so long as that Apprentice does not take any other daily action during that Day that involves making changes to his own Workbench), that Apprentice may substitute “FFFF” for the “STAR” consecutive subsequence in his workbench. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the ruleset, an Apprentice may only voluntarily obtain instances of the Consonant ‘F’ to his workbench by operation of the previous sentence. This action is known as F-Transmutation and is considered a type of Transmutation for the purposes of the rules.

The Consonant ‘Þ’ is considered Unstable, and my also be represented by ‘Th’. If any Apprentice has the consecutive subsequence “FORK” in his Workbench, as a daily action (and so long as that Apprentice does not take any other daily action during that Day that involves making changes to his own Workbench), that Apprentice may substitute “ÞÞÞÞ” for the “FORK” consecutive subsequence in his workbench. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the ruleset, an Apprentice may only voluntarily obtain instances of the Consonant ‘Þ’ to his workbench by operation of the previous sentence. This action is known as Th-Transmutation and is considered a type of Transmutation for the purposes of the rules.

The Consonant ‘K’ is considered Unstable. If any Apprentice has the consecutive subsequence “FAST” in his Workbench, as a daily action (and so long as that Apprentice does not take any other daily action during that Day that involves making changes to his own Workbench), that Apprentice may substitute “KKKK” for the “FAST” consecutive subsequence in his workbench. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the ruleset, an Apprentice may only voluntarily obtain instances of the Consonant ‘K’ to his workbench by operation of the previous sentence. This action is known as K-Transmutation and is considered a type of Transmutation for the purposes of the rules.

Add a new subrule to Rule 2.5, called “Victory Spell”:

The Victory Spell has “FUÞARK” as its Activation Sequence. Its effect is “You achieve victory.”

I’ve gotten enough support that I’m willing to actually propose this.

Holy crap. Giant proposal of doom.

Also, note how getting the K rune requires you to already have an F, and getting a Þ requires you to already have both an F and a K. So it takes a while. I considered putting in F-, K, and Þ-Decay, but the proposal was huge already.
