Call for Judgment: Electric Boogaloo

Fewer than a quorum not voting against. Failed 2-3 by Kevan.

Adminned at 27 Oct 2019 15:11:23 UTC

So, because of all of my drilling, the MGTA has been multiplied by 1.1^153, which is 2153182.43942, which should mean that the MGTA is well, well above 4000.

Amend “The safety phrase is here: hot dog.” to “The safety phrase is here: Cuddlebeam killed us all”

I actually don’t know how Kevan’s loophole works, and my defense for triggering the MGTA losecon will depend on their defense for their attempt to win via Propagandaing us all. The wording is so similar between Leap Actions and Annual Actions, which is why I’m confident enough to blindly piggypack on a scam which I haven’t bothered to study to understand yet lol.

If Kevan’s scam to win works, then my scam to kill us all should too.

against Drilling is a Leap Action and the current Year is 2153, which is not divisible by 4. Unless you’re arguing that we should interpret the word “divisible” in the unmathematical “can be divided somehow, with whatever remainder” sense?

I can’t really reply well until you explain your loophole first, sorry. How did you Propaganda us all?

I think it’s that there is no “if, and only if” clause, yes? That same logic would apply to Leap actions, no? Just guessing here.

My Propagandaing was the scam that TyGuy6 pointed out in One Giant Leap and made an attempt to fix in the recent Finity CfJ: that “An EM may take an Annual Action if…” does not say “if and only if”, implying that Annual Actions may be taken freely.

Not the kind of scam I’d normally attempt, but with TyGuy6 deciding to support your victory mechanism despite having said they’d have voted down One Giant Leap if there was a victory condition in place (and even after this was pointed out to them), it looked a lot like you and TyGuy6 were setting up to perform it yourselves.

And ah, fair enough, the Leap Action doesn’t restrict that.

Still AGAINST, of course, as I prefer the current safety phrase.

“And ah, fair enough, the Leap Action doesn’t restrict that.”
Bing badaboom we’re in the money then, thanks.

Just got to wait for the rest of votes.

Sure, seems valid. But wouldn’t you get more support from a straight proposal of “end the dynasty, pokes wins” than “end the dynasty, pokes wins, but only if you agree that this loophole worked”? You’re just restricting support to a possibly smaller set of players.

I dunno, I had to improvise this real fast (and blind lol). Glad it worked mechanically, though.

We’re only two voters out of six, who knows if anything worked.

Neat counterattack. I’m holding off on the end of world for now. I want to see how this plays out!

But yeah, it’s sooooo thematic. My full support for other yes-votes.
