In Rule 2.1.1, change the text

A Survivor may Fall Asleep by setting the day on which they last Slept to the current date.

to

A Survivor may Fall Asleep by setting the day on which they last Slept to the current date.  When a Survivor Falls Asleep, he increases his Sanity by the number of times he has been Exhausted since he last Fell Asleep.

(Although it might be worth changing it to “may”, so that players aren’t required to comb back through the GNDT and work out how much Sanity they lost, and that a careless player forgetting to update it won’t make the gamestate illegal.)

for Yup, this is the sort of Sanity adding mechanic I can get behind.

against CoV - Hold on. Then what’s the point of sleeping? Surely then it is in your interests to not sleep, protecting your items, and then you can just sleep once, and get all your sanity back in one go? Sleep deprivation can generally have adverse effects after one has slept, so what about an amendment to getting half your sanity points back, since you last slept, rather than all of them. After all, the trick in the boat is to stay sane, with a long enough time scale, everyone should gradually lose it.
