Proposal: First Rule of Self-Reference Club

For each Prisoner who is in a Gang not listed in the bulleted list later in this proposal, remove that Prisoner from that Gang.

In “Gang Affiliation”, replace “Each Prisoner may be a member of up to one Gang.” with:-

Each Prisoner may be a member of up to one of the following Gangs:

  • Locker Boys
  • Kitchen Crew
  • J-Wing Mob
  • The Dust
  • Quartering Crow
  • Los Pulpos
  • Self-Reference Club
  • Two-Star Guardians

We’ve done the “players may give bits of gamestate arbitrary text strings as names” thing again. (ShareDVI has formed a Gang whose name is “the same value in the GNDT (other than the default)”.)

imperial Eh. Yes, well done ShareDVI, but I don’t see that they get any actual advantage from it.

No, I’m not sure there’s anything that’s quite scammable in the current ruleset. (Calling your Gang “that Gang” almost works, but not really.) Better if we don’t have to tread on eggshells when writing rules about Gangs, though.

We should have another go at writing a generic form of “a word only refers to the name of a Prisoner” that also applies to gamestate variables.
