I don’t know what I did, but it wasn’t good. I’m currently checking to see if new proposals show up in the sidebar.
I assume it was my fault because I had just made a proposal and when I looked back at the blog it was broken. Sorry about that!
And closing it worked. Reopening it caused the problem again. So I’ve closed it again.
This clearly calls for a Call for Judgement, but I’m tired and unsure how to word it for now.
We had a similar problem a couple of years ago where somebody’s blog entry would consistently break the front page. It was possibly a control character from whatever text editor they were originally writing it in, but I don’t think we ever got to the bottom of it.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.

Almost certainly not your fault, looking at the content of the Proposal via the editing menu. I made a new (identical) revision of it, but that didn’t appear to change it. I’m going to try setting its status to “Closed” (and putting it back) which is technically illegal but these are special circumstances.
