Reword the Effect of the System called “LED Banner” to the following:
Displays the name of every distinct Operator and idle Operator that this Bot has defeated in a Bout while using this System; these names are publicly tracked. Has no other effect.
Clearing up a small ambiguity in the wording of LED Banner. Also changed it to also include anybody that might go idle later on in the dynasty
That said, Player and Operator are synonyms in the ruleset, with neither term offering a distinct profile with regards to tracking idleness; so if your desired effect is genuinely for this to give you an open advantage then it’s currently not doing so then you may want to change it to “Operator or idle Operator” instead.
I admit that this proposal is in a way somewhat self serving. However, it does represent fixing something that was most likely not intended by the original wording, and there is something to be said for also fixing exactly which Bot that LED Banner refers to.
In that case, why not make the banner refer to Bots, not Players?
(Don’t forget to adjust Showboating too, if you’re going that route.)
Hm, I hate to be billy-points-out-scams, but that reduces the operative cabal to two, as Operators can change the name of their Bot at any time in a way that arguably makes them distinct Bots.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
