Remove the following from the Ruleset, in the rule entitled “Fighting”:

and 1*S for the other Monk

Self-defense requires no punishment.

against Granted, I don’t think a monk taking a Vow of Pacifism should be docked integrity, since e is not fighting. But monks who fight at all should take some integrity loss:

But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. (Matt 5:39)

There is a way to refuse to fight - Vow of Pacifism. We could remove the integrity penalty for Monks who have taken a vow, and possibly add extra damage dealt (since they’re not fighting back) to balance it out and keep it from being too powerful.
