As the Abbot’s corpse is searched, it appears that he has lost his Key to the Monastery. The servants go about on orders from Marcello the Scribe and unlock all of the doors during daytime.
Not apropos, but allow me to make public secret rule R.8, which is legal by Cipher IV:
If the Abbot has the Station of Heaven, then during Game Day all Monks may Move through squares marked on the map by ‘%’ as if they were empty.

BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
