Proposal: Gethsemane

Repeal the rule “Judas”.

Remove “grant 100 Merit to non-Traitor Adventurers who Pointed Their Finger Correctly, and 50*Quorum Merit to the Traitor if none Pointed Their Finger Correctly; they shall also” from the rule “Aftermath”.

Increase Duke of Waltham’s Merit by 50 as a refund for their pointing.

From where I’m sitting this mechanic is currently a four-way toss-up between the Duke of Waltham being up by either +50 Merit (if they are correct about Card being the traitor) or +100 Merit (if their Point is a bluff and they are the traitor themselves), TyGuy earning +150 Merit while the Duke spends -50 (if TyGuy is the Traitor), or the Duke being down -50 if there is no traitor.

I’m not confident enough to make a positive call about the Traitor, so may as well see if there’s any support for a repeal of the reward.

You can always propose that the Priest tells us whether a Traitor exists, if you’re curious.

(And oh, I guess you’re also down -50 if I’m the traitor. But I’m not.)
