Add a subrule to the rule Ghosts titled Ectoplasm. Set it’s text to the following:
As a daily action that may only by taken at night, a ghost may place an item in any living villager’s inventory named “Ectoplasm”. This is known as “Sliming” someone. The ectoplasm can only be removed from an inventory by the villager whose inventory contains the ectoplasm, and this may be done at any time.
It looks like a way for ghosts to draw attention to particular players, possibly after a “gosh, it sure would be useful if the suspected werewolves were somehow covered in ectoplasm, cough cough” blog entry. Except that Dead Men Tell No Tales would put a stop to that. So I don’t know.
I’d vote for it if it were an automatic effect of “haunting” you inform the mayor of your target, the nthe target has a ghost on him, getting ectoplasm’d, which the target can keep or get rid of, as long as he’d like, then when you switch targets, new ectoplasm
or maybe aminstar’s idea of it being an automatic effect of haunting, but only with a chance of it happening per night
