I think you do; and I don’t understand why new players aren’t given wiki accounts as a matter of course, fwiw.

I set up your starting inventory for you. The reason new players aren’t given wiki accounts right away is that any Admin can add a player, but only wiki-admins can create a wiki account.
Bucky, Josh, and Purplebeard are all currently active wiki-admins, I would drop one of them a PM and ask for a wiki account.

I edited the admin-howto page to include PMing a wiki-admin for a new player’s wiki account.
