In the rule “Predators”, replace “That Snail has a Position greater than 0cm but less than the Finish Line” with “That Snail has a Position less than the Finish Line”.
Right now, you can escape predation by having a negative position. Doing so lets you Spot Danger a million times to get everyone else who tries to finish eaten, which I find to be a boring strategy.
Gotta get in the Race and put some skin in the game if you want to invoke the Predators. Hiding in the back is too passive.
I can’t find that excerpt in the rules anywhere, unless you’re suggesting that we should make that change instead of this one.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.
