Proposal: I don’t like it on top…

Can’t be enacted without a CoV (1-9-1) ~ southpointingchariot

Adminned at 21 Mar 2012 19:54:20 UTC

Append to rule 3.2 Gamestate Tracking the following:

Players shall be listed in the GNDT in alphabetical order based on their name.

Amend the GNDT so players are listed in alphabetical order based on their name.

Not even sure if it’s possible…

against Would require changing the GNDT code. If you can talk Kevan into doing it then go ahead but please please please don’t make this a rule.

against Too trivial to be worth the effort.

(We actually don’t need Kevan, strictly speaking - we can just archive the GNDT then add people back to it in alphabetical order - but it would go out of order as soon as anyone unidles.)

I would be all for it, but since it requires changing code I don’t really want to force anyone to have to do that unless they want to.

Or even if it doesnt require changing the code it seems to be a hassle.

imperial i the code can be done, I’m for it.

against  but this should be a trivial fix for Kevan.

against Doesn’t make any sense for the ruleset to be regulating something that the admins have no control over; whoever enacts this will not have the power to do what it asks, and we’ll just be putting a falsehood into the ruleset.

I’ll make the fix some time, but the GNDT was one of the first things I wrote in Perl, and its source code is quite terrifying.
