Proposal: I like to move it, move it

timed out reached quorum 5-0 enacted by card

Adminned at 15 Mar 2018 01:13:34 UTC

Add the following to the “Pieces” subrule.

Once per day, as an action, a Pawn can move a Piece assigned to them. To do so, the pawn must increase their sanity by 1 if their sanity is below 0, and decrease it by 1 if it is above 0. Then, they move the piece a number of tiles equal to or less than their Movement stat in any one direction. If a piece would end up outside the board in this way, the action can not be taken.

Take 2. Assuming this is not a change that counts as “making changes the Hearts or Spades board or rules”, but feel free to chide me if I’m wrong.

“Once a proposal has been enacted, it can have no further direct effect on the gamestate.” -> Only if the proposal modifies the boards directly (i.e. upon enactment) would it be considered as making changes to the boards, so introducing a rule that would result in changes through player action (i.e. movement) doesn’t count.

(Note that this is the result of the current ruleset constraints, not what I was trying to do when I initially wanted the Hearts and Spades sub rules. My idea was to force rules that introduced board-modifying actions to be either Hearts or Spades sub rules, and thus create two separate sets of “laws” for the boards.)
