Proposal: I’d still prefer to win legitimately this dynasty

Enacted, 4-0. Josh

In the subrule “Idle Drivers”, change

Any idle Driver, provided they did not go idle within the same dynasty in the previous four days, may submit an Idling Post or Idling Comment requesting themselves to be unidled.

to

Any idle Driver, if they did not go idle within the same dynasty in the previous four days, or if their most recent idling was as a result of not posting an entry or comment for a seven-day period, may submit an Idling Post or Idling Comment requesting themselves to be unidled.

Bucky is barred from unidling due to a core rules bug. Whilst this is hilarious, it’s not going to be much fun playing it out from here with no competition, and we could do with fixing the bug for the future, too. This was actually annoyingly hard to word…

We could just go back to the good, old-fashioned “did not ask to go idle” instead of “did not go idle”, which also stops the unfairness of slow administration extending what a player might think of as their idle time. But we should probably clean up the whole rule while we’re at it.

IINM, Bucky can still unidle, he just has to wait four days.

A core rules bug? I have always read that rule as it was. I actually thought that was why Josh didn’t unidled himsemf sooner.

The problem is that if Bucky misses four dailies due to being unexpectedly idled, he’ll be so far behind me he’ll have no chance of catching up.

for Fine as far as it goes, although this rule does need a bigger swing taken at it.
