Proposal: Idle Hands

Self killed. Failed by Angry Grasshopper.

Add a new rule titled ‘Idle Hands’:

A Protagonist who fails to vote on any pending Proposal becomes Idle. This Rule has no effect if the Proposal was enacted within twenty-four hours.

Also, wouldn’t this idle everyone as soon as someone makes a proposal:  Everyone has failed to vote on the pending proposal, so becomes idle.  Obviously, it’s not what is intended, but that’s how I read it.  Also, if this doesn’t trigger until a proposal is admin’d, it does nothing because the proposal in question is no longer pending.

I disagree.

Then, at what point is it decided that a Protaganist has “failed to vote on a pending Proposal?”  The whole thing needs to be written better to avoid ambiguity.  Also, careless use of “enacted” instead of “adminned” creates a situation which is not fun at all:  Since there is no minimum time which must pass before a proposal fails, any majority of Protaganists can clear the proposal queue with against votes, idling everyone else.  Worse, when there are no proposals in queue, an admin can self-kill a new proposal, idling everyone else.

Ah, that last bit is a good point.

Can stop voting, self-killed. for on the idea, though, if well-implemented.
