BlogNomic: The First Dynasty of Desertfrog

Shrug. I posted it at 8:20 EST. If it’s mandatory GST, I’d rather just change the times than have to repost and reformat everything.

We’ve had posts like this throughout the dynasty and no one has complained.

Well, this does enforce the rules, but whoever made this could have just requested for the plot seed to be moved forward a day.

You know, something tells me Rodlen submitted it, rven though Cayvie, Amnistar, and Darknight all voted for it too.

I just looked through the Ruleset. Nothing says posts on the plot summary must be in GMT. The closest thing is this:

“References to “a day” (as an entity rather than a duration, eg. “Sunday”) refer to that day in the timezone of the BlogNomic blog, which is considered to be GMT for all purposes.”

...and that doesn’t get the job done.

I agree we should all post on the same time zone, and I’ll take notice of that in the future. BUT THERE IS NOTHING THAT SAYS MY POST IS ILLEGAL FOR USING EST INSTEAD OF GMT.

Furthermore, this CfJ is “griefing”, pure and simple. Someone is trying to get their jollies being a Rule Nazi or is so desperate to win they’ll expend this effort even though they KNOW it’s 99% likely I’ll just repost with the GMT time.

This is a bad faith proposal. The person who sponsored it should at least man-up and make their silly, silly objection in the open.

Actually, after thinking for a bit, someone should really just move the seed forward a day.

Also, even if the alternate interpretation is correct, I didn’t make it illegal move.

The plot seed did not occur at 8:20. It was just mislabeled as that. The correct move would be to relabel it to GMT time—meaning to push it up 5 (?) hours.

Removing it or letting it be has no much impact in the game. Furthermore, I agree on the clarification for GMT time instead, before this can be enforceable as proposed.
