Proposal: I’m in a set, now I’m set!

In Rule “Death and Scorekeeping” change

Whenever a Gladiator Dies, it causes a set of other Gladiators to receive a Frag. Frags should not be gained in any other way. The set is empty by default, but Gladiators are added to the set if a Rule says they are Awarded a Frag for that Death. A Gladiator can never receive a Frag for their own Death, or more than one Frag for the same Death.

A Gladiator can never receive a Frag for their own Death, or more than one Frag for the same Death.

I am currently in Kevan’s set of Gladiator’s to receive frags for his dying. Also, I will stay in said set because I am never removed from it according to the rules. The clause to never receive more than one Frag for the same Death doesn’t prevent it because I do not receive more then one Frag per Kevans future deaths, but only one per death, even if I am completly uninvolved.
Thus, hereby I want to introduce a frag-set-reseter. ;-)

I’m not sure your kill was legal, there - you entered the Arena at F5, but Rule 2.1 requires Gladiators to arrive at an Entry Point (“any Arena Square which is Empty, and which is either in Column A, Column I, Row 1 or Row 9”).

(I’ve reverted your moves and their effects back to before your illegal entrance.)

against I don’t really think there’s an issue because I think each set is Death-specific, and this just muddies the water by the use of the term “corresponding” set. Additionally, this shuts off the possibility of killing someone multiple times in one action.

@Kevan: You are right. Darn. I didn’t have the Entry-Point-rule in mind at that time.

Which makes the scam I tried with this proposal useless. (I planned on getting another frag for your next death, as I was still in the set.)

@coppro: But each set being death-specific is not clearly written down. Actually, one could go as far as saying there’s only one set and everyone gets frags for everyones death (except his own) once he is in it.

Maybe the whole wording there is problematic. I suspect why this mechanic with the sets was chosen, but it seems to me it is difficult to word without doubt.

Methinks this rule needs rewording.

@Yoda: Care to specify in which way?

As the comments above me said, specifying when sets are assigned/created/destroyed/etc.

You presumably misclicked, but you need to explicitly vote AGAINST to self-kill a proposal.

against Yes I did. Thanks, Kevan!
