In the rule “The Elective Monarchy”, after
An Elector whose Political Power is at or below 0 is considered to be Ostracized.

When an Elector joins the Dynasty for the first time, unless all other electors are Ostracized, their Political Power becomes the median Political Power of all other non-Ostracized Electors.
would that actually effect the median?
Right now the media is 16:

Two lesser powered players could assign all their powers to an escrow and bump the median up to 18 but that isn’t much of a swing.
The only problems I see with median is that
A) We have 2 groups on where the points are surrounded
B) Players idling out sway the median closer the opposite direction
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.

I was just thinking that something like this would be a good idea, though the obvious play for a cabal is to have multiple people assign all their power to one player as escrow (making them ostracized), have a friend unidle, and thus give them something well above the expected median… so I’m not a fan of the non-Ostracized clause.
Also, curious about whether “join the Dynasty” has explicit meaning in the ruleset.
