Proposal: Initialize!

9-0 is quorum. -Elias IX

Josh is already on the Monkey Line, so all others are placed on the bottom. The rest of the names were put into Kevan’s movie quote generator, and then the quotes were alphabetized. There were no repeats. Clucky gets placed on top, anyway.

“Many Bothans died to bring us this Oracular rufio.”

If “Proposal: Line Dance” has not been Enacted, this Proposal does nothing.

In the Rule “The Monkey Line”, change the following words and phrases as indicated:

Change “end of the line” to “bottom of the list”.
Change “back of the line” to “bottom of the list”.
Change “code monkey” to “Monkey”.
Delete “with the Monkey Line, “.
Change “should” to “must”.

Add each Monkey that is not on the Monkey Line to the bottom of the Monkey Line (The Admin Enacting this proposal should add all such Monkeys in a uniformly random order, and should explain the method of randomization before making the additions).  Move the Top Banana to the top of the Monkey Line.

It seems to me that we should either use list terminology (“The Monkey List”, “bottom of the list”, “top of the list”) or line terminology (“The Monkey Line”, “end of the line”, “beginning of the line”) but not some chimerical combination of both.

I am not concerned with the whole list/line thing. Its still referred to as the monkey line. Were this not the pass, the monkey line proposal wouldn’t be able to be passed either.

Well, strictly speaking, if it doesn’t pass, than this doesn’t do anything…

I see why changing the one stray “code monkey” to “monkey” and “should” to “must” is necessary, but the rest seems kind of minor and typographical.

Probably still a good idea though.

It’s _called_ “The Monkey Line”.
It _is_ a list (see the first sentence of Clucky’s proposed rule).
It contains a “top” (see the second sentence of Clucky’s proposed rule).
To be consistent, the other end should be the “bottom”.
