In the rule Open House, immediately after the bullet point that begins “If an Offer was accepted”, add the following:
* If no Offer was accepted on this Open House then the Realtor holding it must reduce either the Appeal or the Condition (their choice) by DICE3 - 1.
To disincentivese people from spamming Open Houses looking for the one exact correct Buyer of their dreams.
NB I want this to be a disincentive but not a no-brainer; is DICE4 too much of a penalty?
I’ll probably vote DEF as-is; if the penalty were just a straight 1 I’d vote FOR.
I’ve made it DICE3 - 1, so it’ll still average a change of 1 but there’s still some push-your-luck peril/opportunity that traps or ghosts or other mechanics can latch onto.
Ah, sorry - that came in too late after I’d gone to bed, and now the edit window is closed.
As I say, the result will still be 1 on average, though.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
