In the rule “The Gift of the Isle”, change the text “the past 36 hours” to the following:
the past 24 hours
I don’t mind if this proposal fails, but I figured I would put the option on the table to speed up gameplay a bit if people wanted. I get that this does turn the dynasty into a bit of a daily grind though, so I’m definitely going to leave it up to all of y’all.
I feel like the 36-hour cycle is doing us well so far. I worry that at 24 hours, I’m likely to miss a cycle accidentally.
Maybe as it gets closer to the end, try a similar Proposal again? Or maybe that might be even worse. Not sure.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.
