Proposal: It’s not the mob if you have no families.

Create a rule “Families”, reading:

Any criminal may belong to a Family, which is tracked in the GNDT. A Criminal who has no Family may set their Family at any time, to any valid English sentence.

At any time, a Criminal may transfer any amount of Wealth, Respect or Firepower to another Criminal in the same Family as them, unless that would result in either of those two Criminals having negative Wealth, Respect or Firepower.

for the idea. However, there is nothing stating you must transfer the WRF from yourself, so once joining families mechanics get added that needs to get fixed.

against Needs to be fixed.  There’s nothing stating that it has to come from someone in the Family. Example:
A, B are in the same Family. C is not.
A transfers 10000000000000000000 Wealth, Respect, and Firepower from C to B. Then he repeats that for every other player who is not A or B.  Because C is not “either of those two Criminals” it’s okay for him to end up negative.  Then nobody can fix it, because you’d need to have positive values for both of the Criminals, or it fails.

Other than this, I’m all for it.

against S-K, for the bug. Will repropose when the slot opens.

Also, not sure if this would matter, but would a “valid English sentence” require a verb?

From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sentence_(linguistics)

the opening of Charles Dickens’ well known novel, Bleak House, begins with the following three sentences:
London. Michaelmas term lately over, and the Lord Chancellor sitting in Lincoln’s Inn Hall. Implacable November weather.

Ayways, I’ll “phrase” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phrase) when reproposing, since sentence requires a period.

From rule 3.3.1:
“Unless otherwise specified, a rule that allows Criminals to transfer a numeric value only allows them to transfer that value from themselves to another Criminal (of their choice unless otherwise stated).”

Damn it… ;)

If you repropose this, I’d suggest disallowing Respect transfers (I’m happy with the other two), because with spc’s proposal to allow Respect to go negative, it’s quite likely that a scam would sneak in there somehow.

ok.
