Proposal: Jet Set Junta

Times out and passes 8-1 -Larrytheturtle

To the rule “Offices”, add:-

The Admiral of the Navy, Brigadier of the Air Force and General of the Military are all Military Leaders.

Add a new list to the rule “Government Actions”, called “Military Actions (0)”. Add a new Military Action:-

The General of the Military may declare a Coup attempt by spending 10 Power and making a Proposal with the string “Coup:” in its title - that Proposal is counted as a Coup Proposal. If a Coup Proposal does not have an AGAINST vote from either the Admiral of the Navy or the Brigadier of the Air Force, then that Proposal cannot be vetoed. If there exists a Military Leader who has not voted FOR a given Coup Proposal, then that Proposal cannot be enacted.

Reproposing Junta’s Moon, but requiring the Navy and Air Force to explicitly support a Coup for it to take effect. (Giving the Despot the option to sack and replace his Military leaders if he thinks this will help.)

A coup sounds dangerous for the Despot

for Kevan seems loyal enough to me.  I trust his good intentions.

It’s not a question of trusting Kevan; the nation is full of nefarious evil-doers who can use this Rule to the Depot’s detriment.

And I, of course, must remain loyal to the best long term interests of Our Despot, who gives our government it’s not-too-oppressive stability.

I don’t think anyone can harm our Leader’s Superior Position when the Army and the Navy are controlled by such Loyal Servants (not to mention myself). And what could be more the showcase of the stability of our beloved Regime, than this Rule?

I would question you turtlemoon, when the despot has voted for, do you not trust his leadership?

for Although, I’m not sure it’s clear what will happen if a military leader votes and then is removed from office and replace before the proposal is resolved.

Also, you haven’t technically defined what declaring a coup means or does.

I believe a coup is just a proposal with coup in the title and that 10 power was spent on. It does whatever it says it does, besides for additional requirements to pass/fail, it is a normal proposal.
