Proposal: Keeping Track

In the rule “Review,” after the text “A rating is an Integer value that can be positive, negative or 0.” add the text

The rating given to the most recent Entry Recipe to get a rating for each Cook is tracked in the GNDT under the category “Rating.”

Tracking only the most recent Rating seems unintuitive. I favor the mechanism Ely proposed.

This is by no means mutually exclusive with Ely’s mechanic: we can do things with references and still use the most recent rating.

I was thinking of ratings as a general determinant of how good the food is. If a restaurant used to have good food then that’s not really relevant, so I figured that mechanics that require a Cook to make “good enough” food could just look back at the most recent rating. Sort of like resturant inspection scores, but for how good the food is instead of how sanitary the resturant is.

(Incidentally, a Safety Inspection could make an interesting mechanic. I have no idea what it would look like, but it sounds interesting regardless.)

against Seems redundant on top of Ely’s References.

for I like a rating determining how good a cook is “right now”, we could use it to determine what actions they can take and so on.

On second thought, this is a chore for the Manager, because they’d have to post the same thing in two places. (and why have it in the GNDT, if it’s alrready in the most recent review?)
Thus against. But FOR in principle.
