Proposal: Kill the Leader

Add a new subrule to the rule “Death and Scorekeeping”.  Call it “Food Chain” and give it the following text:

A Gladiator cannot receive a Frag for the Death of another Gladiator if he has at least 4 Frags more than that Gladiator.

In the rule “Weapons”, change the text “gains 1 Frag” to “is awarded 1 Frag”.

Fixed version of Fresh Meat.  Rookies can get frags from other Rookies, but high-Frag Gladiators can’t.

against I honestly don’t think there are enough players playing this competitively. It’s effectively forces the three or four players playing to win conventionally to farm off of each other.

My vote is mainly for how neatly it cuts off the boring meatpuppet-genre scam of “Hi, I unidle with a blank character because Player X told me to, and take these actions that I don’t really understand, and now Player X wins!”

Doesn’t this just even more encourage team-based play? As far as I can tell, it just encourages a couple of leading players to team up and repeatedly kill each other, getting more Frags in the process, to keep going.
