Proposal: King For A Day

Make the following a new paragraph in the rule monarchy

If at any time all of the following are true of a single noble, then the noble may obtain the title of king by making a post to that effect.
1. The noble has a dignity rating that is equal to or greater than the average dignity of all nobles and the noble is not a scoundrel.
2. The noble’s income is greater than the average net change in Wealth pursuant to the Rule Taxes the last time that the time was advanced.
3. All members of the house that the noble does not belong to are defenseless.
4. The noble is either The Duke of York or The Duke of Lancaster.

Append the following as a new point at the end of the rule Taxes.

Set each nobles Income to their net change in wealth during this advancement of time.

Make the following a new paragraph in the rule Wealth

Each noble has a numerical status entitled income which is tracked in the GNDT, and defaulting to 0

 

I think it about time we start to consider this.

against Mainly because of 3 and 4. Don’t you want to work with your family, not against it? And I think it would be very hard to convince the current Dukes to give up their positions.

I mostly wanted to throw out some ideas and it is fine to me if this fails but I would say you are working with your family. Especially on number 3 since I doubt any one person could ever destroy all the knights of all the members of the opposing family. As to number 4, I could see it causing decent but the idea, at least to me, is that you must rally behind your duke. You could take over the thrown by force if a mechanic is ever added for that. I feel that the families having a bit of decent within the families fits the theme I was going for as well.
