Proposal: laying the groundwork

In the rule “Cornerstones”, append to the first paragraph “Sentences in the effect of Lit Cornerstone Chambers count as features for the purposes of the Enter the Crypt atomic action but cannot be removed from the room they are in or added to other rooms.”
In the rule “Lair Actions”, change “a Lit room that is neither a Sepulchre nor the room located at E4” to “a Lit room that is not a Sepulchre and is neither the room located at E4 nor a Cornerstone Chamber”.

so that when we do light up some cornerstone chambers they can have unique effects & not be sepulchre’d

What is “cannot be removed from the room” trying to block that “cannot be the subject of dynastic actions” isn’t already?

And does “or added to other rooms” mean that if we block the east exit of A1, no other room can have its east exit blocked?

@kevan “cannot be the subject of dynastic actions” is entirely specific to dark cornerstone chambers, not lit ones, a fact that was also clarified to u personally in the comments of the first cornerstone chamber proposal?

and yeah, this also prevents us from verbatim replicating existing features in cornerstone chamber effect text, i guess, but we could v easily reword it to a different sentence & then it’s fine :0

somebody *could* blood frenzy a feature into a cornerstone chamber, i didnt think of that, but there aren’t any lit cornerstone chambers rn & they can’t be lit except via proposal anyway, so that’s completely fine

Ah, I missed the “Dark” when reading that back, that makes more sense.

As well as Blood Frenzy we can also create Glyph Features in Lit Cornerstone rooms, I think? And we may end up adding other methods in future. I think it’d be better to keep it modular with “a Room has an Effect which is a list of Features” as a solid foundation, rather than “a Room has an Effect which is free text, some parts of which may be Features and others are non-Features which are treated like Features by one rule”.

for as it is just groundwork and the Sepulchre restriction makes sense while it remains a first-come-first-served mechanic.
