Story Post: learn grunt: sky fire

learns what it need: bash rocks

think cost: 20

what it does: light from rock bash like light from sky fire. sky fire hit tree, tree gets hot and burny. perhaps burny tree can be used. perhaps can make burny tree with bash rocks.

why think cost two times ten? is think cost not zero?

[points to “The cost of a Research Project is defined as the cumulative start costs of its prerequisite and all of its antecedents (i.e. the prerequisite’s prerequisite, the prerequisite’s prerequisite’s prerequisite, etc), divided by the number of immediate prerequisites it has. this cost is the start cost.” on cave wall]

oh. cost become zero when project complete.

[points to “When a Research Project’s cost is zero then it becomes complete and its effect is immediately applied to the gamestate.”]

this bad.

Thus! I made change to rule. Start cost not equal actual cost

veto Learn grunt not valid! Cost should be 0 as indicated.
Perhaps should make big thinking (CfJ) to set cost of bashing rocks to two times ten

this still valid as “The cost of a Research Project is defined as the cumulative start costs of its prerequisite” and the start cost of bash rocks was 20.

oh. blacky fixed this here when he define “start cost” for a project. did not notice that.

This is now “passed” - I guess we need a mechanism for tracking un-enacted learn grunts.
