Proposal: Let Rain Fall

Add the following Rule:

On their turn, Islands may subtract two from pressure to construct a “mountain”. Each island has their Base foliage increase by 1 for each mountain. After the Flood, for each mountain an island has, they roll a 10 sided die to determine that 5 animal biomass is retained (if you have more than 5)—only a roll of 10 retains the animals.

animals can try running to the mountains to escape the flood

A couple issues I see with this proposal as currently worded:

* “Each island has their Base foliage increase by 1 for each mountain.” is not well-defined behavior because it doesn’t say what triggers the increase.  Can I just apply the rule over and over and increase my foliage infinitely?

* What constitutes “Base foliage”?  AFAIK it’s not an individual state of each island.

* What constitutes a mountain?  Is this an additional stat tracked on the Great Sea table?

* The dice rule is somewhat ambiguous;  each player may roll multiple dice.. Does any single roll of a 10 retain all the animals, while not rolling any 10 means no animals are retained?

against All of those things. Also, an optional “on their turn” effect should really go into the Overground Actions list, so that people can find it more easily.

Not bad ideas, but work on placing them in the ruleset.

9spaceking: To selfkill a proposal, you need to vote against it, not post a veto symbol. A veto symbol only has meaning for the Emperor.

veto For the queue. Also because I honestly don’t see the point of being Emperor if you don’t occasionally get to veto things.
